It is July 4th today
The day of celebration in America
When flags of Stripes and Stars are hoisted high
And parades and parties sweeping around
to commemorate the great day of freedom.
Freedom to speak out with no fear
And freedom to worship with no restrains
And freedom to express your thoughts into
art,speeches and written words
should never be taken for granted
Nor be ever misused for selfish gain.
To be alive and to be free to make choices
And to live within borders in peace
Are God given privileges
Freedom does come with a heavy price
And it need to be cherished and guarded
with heartfelt humility and gratitude.
I pray that the trumpet of Freedom be heard
from all the corners of earth
So that the young and old of all color, race and faith
will walk with no fear or bondage
Let the names of those who stood up for peace
Justice and freedom be remembered
And let us all work for a better world
where love, truth and justice rule!
